Valinor has been manufacturing upholstered furniture since 1998. 
People often ask us why we have so few models.
Anyone who knows us well as manufacturers knows that we do not tolerate shoddy designs, knockoffs, or models that masquerade as several different designs.
 
Our models are distinct, yet share a characteristic common to Valinor. 
Every year we create dozens of prototypes for new sofas, armchairs, and chairs, but only a few of them pass the test for mass production. What does the test entail:
1. Structural strength. Strength is first tested theoretically in design software. Materials, components, assemblies, and loads are tested virtually. 
Then the product is physically tested on a durability test bench we have in the factory. 
2. Ergonomics and aesthetics of the product. Not everything that looks good in a drawing or 3D visualization looks good once it has been designed and scaled to ergonomic proportions.
3. Does it solve a problem? Does it fill a gap in our product line? Does it help our customers?
4. Can the product—whether it’s a chair, armchair, or sofa—achieve the best value for money? We calculate the product’s value in terms of cost and resources used relative to its lifespan.
